As part of the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance, Bank of America volunteers worked with Gen. Robert E. Wood Club members and staff to honor the community’s local Chicago Fire Department Engine 109, by creating a “Heroes Quilt.”

Expanded Tutoring – Volunteers Needed

The General Wood Club has expanded its tutoring program to three nights per week. The children work one-on-one with volunteers on homework and other educational activities. More volunteers are needed Monday through Wednesday evenings. For more information about the program or to volunteer, please call the Club.

Performing Arts Takes Center Stage at General Wood

Several General Wood Club members are taking their places in the spotlight. The recently formed Wood Club Rock Band debuted in front of their peers, playing a 30-minute set with five songs. The band, which formed just three months prior to its debut, participated in the Music Makers program.
